Itinerary
Day - 1
Baku Arrival: The City of Winds
Touch down at Heydar Aliyev International Airport and meet your representative for a seamless transfer to your hotel. After checking in at 14:00, the rest of the day is yours to get acquainted with Baku. Take a walk along the Caspian Sea promenade or explore the downtown area to witness the city's unique blend of Soviet history and futuristic architecture before settling in for the night.
Day - 2
Fire and Fluidity: Ancient Flames to Modern Curves
Experience the stark contrasts of Azerbaijan, starting with the "Land of Fire" heritage at Yanar Dag, where natural gas has kept a hillside burning for centuries. Continue to the Ateshgah Fire Temple, a historic site of Zoroastrian pilgrimage. Back in the city, admire the ultra-modern, wave-like architecture of the Heydar Aliyev Center, designed by Zaha Hadid, and explore the classic vehicles at the Vintage Car Museum housed within.
Day - 3
Baku Highlights: Carpets, Canals, and Citadels
Immerse yourself in the capital's rich culture, starting with a gondola ride through the canals of Little Venice on the boulevard. Visit the unique Carpet Museum, shaped like a rolled rug, to see the nation's weaving heritage. Step back in time in the UNESCO-listed Old City (Icherisheher) to view the Maiden Tower, and conclude your day with a stroll down the vibrant Nizami Street, famous for its grand facades and luxury shopping.
Day - 4
Gabala Escape: Alpine Lakes and Falls
Leave the coastal capital behind and drive to the breathtaking region of Gabala, wrapped in the Caucasus Mountains. Ride the cable car at Tufandag Mountain Resort for panoramic alpine views and relax by the reflective waters of Nohur Lake. Hike to the Yeddi Gozel (Seven Beauties) Waterfall and visit the local shooting center. Before checking into your hotel, explore the local market to taste regional delicacies.
Day - 5
Prehistoric Return: Mud and Rock Art
Depart Gabala and travel back towards the coast, stopping at Gobustan National Park. This UNESCO site preserves thousands of rock engravings dating back to the Mesolithic period. Nearby, witness the strange geological phenomenon of bubbling Mud Volcanoes—Azerbaijan is home to nearly half of the world's total. After exploring these prehistoric wonders, complete your journey back to Baku for your final night.
Day - 6
Baku Departure: Mall and Memories
Spend your final morning indulging in a shopping tour at Ganjlik Mall, the city's largest retail hub featuring over 80 stores and entertainment venues.
