Day - 1
Delhi to Mathura: The Sacred Birthplace
Your journey begins upon arrival in Delhi, where we immediately drive south to the holy city of Mathura. Known as one of the seven sacred cities of Hinduism, this bustling town on the Yamuna River is celebrated as the birthplace of Lord Krishna. Upon arrival, check into your hotel and soak in the spiritual atmosphere of this ancient pilgrimage center, preparing for the divine exploration of the "Twin Cities" of Braj.
Day - 2
Vrindavan: Groves of Divine Love
Today, we explore Vrindavan, where Lord Krishna spent his childhood. Wander through the mystical Nidhivan, believed to be the nightly venue of the divine Ras Leela. Seek blessings at the Banke Bihari Mandir, famous for its "curtain" darshan, and the self-manifested deity at Radha Raman Temple. Marvel at the architectural beauty of the ISKCON Temple and the white marble grandeur of Prem Mandir ("Temple of God's Love"). Visit Radha Vallabh Temple, a shrine dedicated to the rare 'Ras Bhakti' worship of Radha-Krishna.
Day - 3
Mathura to Agra: Prison Cells to Palaces
Before leaving Mathura, visit the Shri Krishna Janmasthan Temple, the actual prison cell believed to be the Lord's birthplace, and the historic Dwarkadheesh Temple with its black marble idol. We then drive to Agra, the former Mughal capital. Check into your hotel and relax. As the sun sets, you might catch your first glimpse of the Taj Mahal’s silhouette from the city, sensing the romance and history that permeates the air of this riverside city.
Day - 4
Agra to Delhi: The White Marble Wonder
Rise early to witness the Taj Mahal bathed in the soft morning light. Built by Shah Jahan for Mumtaz Mahal, this white marble mausoleum is an unparalleled masterpiece of symmetry and inlay work. Next, explore the massive red sandstone ramparts of the Agra Fort, a UNESCO World Heritage site started by Emperor Akbar. After soaking in the Mughal grandeur, we drive back to Delhi. Check into your hotel in the capital, transitioning from ancient history to cosmopolitan energy.
Day - 5
Delhi: Monuments of Power & Peace
Explore the diverse eras of Delhi today. Marvel at the stunning Akshardham Temple, a modern architectural wonder with India's largest stepwell. Visit the UNESCO-listed Qutub Minar, the soaring brick minaret surrounded by ancient ruins. Pay homage to Mahatma Gandhi at Raj Ghat and drive past the colonial corridors of power: India Gate, the President's House, and Parliament House. End the day with a stroll through the colonial colonnades of Connaught Place for shopping or dining.
Day - 6
Departure: Capital Farewells
After a final breakfast, enjoy a relaxed morning before we transfer you to the Delhi Airport or Railway Station. You depart with a rich tapestry of memories, spanning the divine playgrounds of Krishna to the architectural zeniths of the Mughal Empire.
