Day - 1
Cochin – Arrival in the Queen of the Arabian Sea
Arrive in Cochin (Kochi), the vibrant "Gateway to Kerala" on the southwest coast. Meet your assistance and transfer to your hotel. Spend the evening settling in and enjoying a delicious dinner in this scenic coastal city.
Day - 2
Cochin to Munnar – Colonial History & Tea Hills
After breakfast, explore Cochin's heritage, including the iconic Chinese Fishing Nets, ancient Fort Kochi, and the 1568 Jewish Synagogue. Later, drive to Munnar, the former British summer resort. Stop at Attukad Waterfalls en route and visit the Tata Tea Museum to witness traditional tea processing before checking into your hotel.
Day - 3
Munnar – National Parks, Dams & Blooms
Embark on a full-day tour starting with Eravikulam National Park to spot the endangered Nilgiri Tahr. Visit Kundala Lake, known for its arch dam, followed by Mattupetty Dam for scenic boating options. End the day with an elephant ride at Carmelagiri Elephant Park or a stroll through the landscaped Blossom Park.
Day - 4
Kumarakom – Venice of the East
Drive to Kumarakom, a tranquil backwater village on Vembanad Lake. Check in and relax, perhaps opting for a rejuvenating Ayurvedic treatment. In the evening, enjoy a sunset cruise on the lake to soak in the serenity of the "Venice of the East."
Day - 5
Kumarakom – Village Walks & Sunset Serenity
Enjoy a morning village walk or visit Kottayam for silk shopping. Spend the afternoon relaxing at the resort. Witness a breathtaking sunset over the horizon and consider attending a traditional Kathakali or Kalaripayattu performance in the evening.
Day - 6
Kovalam/Poovar – Coastal Estuaries & Lighthouses
Drive south to the coastal gems of Kovalam or Poovar. Poovar offers a unique estuary where the river meets the sea, while Kovalam is famous for its Lighthouse Beach. Upon arrival, check in and enjoy water sports like parasailing or snorkeling, or simply relax by the pristine coastline.
Day - 7
Trivandrum – Temples & Land's End
Visit the architectural marvel of Sree Padmanabhaswamy Temple and the Napier Museum in Trivandrum. Optionally, take a day trip to Kanyakumari to see the Vivekananda Rock Memorial, Thiruvalluvar Statue, and the confluence of three oceans. Return to your hotel for a final dinner.
Day - 8
Departure – Homeward Bound
After breakfast, check out and transfer to Trivandrum Airport. Depart for your hometown with wonderful memories of the backwaters, hills, and beaches of "God’s Own Country."
