Day - 1
Baku Arrival: The City of Winds
Touch down at Heydar Aliyev International Airport and meet your representative for a smooth transfer to your hotel. After checking in at 14:00, the rest of the day is yours to get acquainted with Baku. Known as the "City of Winds," the Azerbaijani capital offers a striking first impression where ancient stone walls meet futuristic glass towers along the Caspian Sea. Take a walk along the promenade or explore the downtown area before settling in for the night.
Day - 2
Baku Highlights: Citadels, Carpets, and Curves
Immerse yourself in the capital's diverse architecture, starting with the fluid, wave-like design of the Heydar Aliyev Center by Zaha Hadid, which houses a vintage car collection. Step back in time in the UNESCO-listed Old City (Icherisheher) to view the Maiden Tower, then admire the Carpet Museum, shaped like a rolled rug. Enjoy a gondola ride in Little Venice and conclude your day with a stroll down the vibrant Nizami Street, famous for its grand facades and luxury shopping.
Day - 3
Prehistoric Detour: Mud to Mountains
Check out and depart for Gabala, taking a fascinating detour to Gobustan National Park. Here, you will decipher ancient rock engravings dating back to the Mesolithic period and witness the bubbling geologic phenomenon of Mud Volcanoes. After exploring these prehistoric wonders, continue the scenic drive into the foothills of the Greater Caucasus to reach Gabala for your overnight stay.
Day - 4
Gabala Adventure: Alpine Lakes and Falls
Wake up in the lush embrace of the mountains and ride the cable car at Tufandag Mountain Resort for panoramic alpine views. Relax by the serene, reflective waters of Nohur Lake before hiking to the Yeddi Gozel (Seven Beauties) Waterfall. Visit the local shooting center for some sport and explore the bustling local market to taste regional delicacies like honey and jam before returning to your hotel.

Return to the Land of Fire
Depart Gabala and travel back to Baku to explore the roots of Azerbaijan's "Land of Fire" moniker. Visit the Ateshgah Fire Temple in Surakhany, a historic castle-like temple used by fire-worshipping Zoroastrians. Continue to the hillside of Yanar Dag, where natural gas vents have kept a fire burning continuously for centuries. Check into your Baku hotel for the night after witnessing these eternal flames.
Day - 6
Shahdag Escape: Into the Caucasus
Leave the coastal capital again and drive north to the majestic Shahdag region near the Russian border. Nestled in the Greater Caucasus Mountains, this area is defined by its deep valleys, ancient glaciers, and pristine alpine lakes.
