Your trip in a nutshell
Itinerary
Day - 1
Kathmandu: Arrival in the Valley of Gods
Your journey into the Himalayas begins as we greet you at Tribhuvan International Airport. We whisk you away to your hotel in the heart of Kathmandu, a city where ancient traditions blend seamlessly with modern energy. The capital is a sensory delight, home to a multiethnic population and a skyline pierced by temple spires. Spend your first evening at leisure, perhaps exploring the vibrant local markets, trying your luck at a casino, or enjoying a traditional Nepali folk dance performance.
Day - 2
Kathmandu: Stupas, Spirits & Palaces
Today, we traverse the spiritual and royal history of the valley. Begin at the sacred Pashupatinath Temple, a UNESCO site on the Bagmati riverbanks where life and death meet in solemn ritual. Continue to the massive Boudhanath Stupa, the heart of Tibetan Buddhism, where the eyes of Buddha watch over the faithful. We then explore Patan Durbar Square, the "City of Fine Arts," known for its exquisite palaces, before ascending to the hilltop Swayambhunath (Monkey Temple) for a panoramic sunset view over the city.
Day - 3
Chitwan: Descending to the Jungle
We leave the cool hills behind for a scenic drive down to the lush Terai lowlands. En route, you may choose to visit the wish-fulfilling Manakamana Temple via a cable car ride (optional). Our destination is Chitwan National Park, Nepal’s first national park and a World Heritage site. Upon arrival, the air turns humid and earthy. Check into your jungle lodge and prepare to immerse yourself in one of Asia’s premier wildlife sanctuaries.
Day - 4
Chitwan: Safari in the Tall Grass
Dedicate the day to the wild rhythm of the forest. Engage in a full roster of jungle activities, including a thrilling Jeep Safari to track the One-Horned Rhinoceros and the Royal Bengal Tiger. Glide down the Rapti River in a dugout canoe to spot crocodiles and water birds, visit the elephant breeding center, or take a guided nature walk. The evening culminates with a vibrant Tharu cultural dance, showcasing the indigenous heritage of the Terai.
Day - 5
Pokhara: The Lakeside Haven
We journey west to Pokhara, the jewel of the Himalayas. As you approach, the massive snow-capped peaks of the Annapurna range reflect in the calm waters of Phewa Lake. Upon arrival, check into your hotel. The town offers a relaxed atmosphere perfect for unwinding. Spend the evening strolling along the lakeside promenade, enjoying the cafes and the majestic backdrop of Mount Machhapuchhre (Fishtail).
Day - 6
Pokhara: Sunrise & Subterranean Wonders
Rise before dawn for an excursion to Sarangkot, the ultimate viewpoint to witness the sunrise turning the Himalayas into gold. After breakfast, explore the city’s natural marvels: the thunderous Devi’s Fall, where the stream vanishes underground, and the limestone chambers of Gupteshwor Cave. Visit the historic Bindhyabasini Temple, dedicated to Goddess Durga, offering a peaceful retreat and clear mountain views.
Day - 7
Chandragiri: Flight to the Cloud Hills
We take a short, scenic flight back to Kathmandu, saving hours of travel time. Upon landing, we drive to the base of Chandragiri Hills and ascend via a steep cable car ride to the summit. Here, you are treated to a breathtaking 180-degree view of the Himalayan range, including Everest on a clear day. Visit the Bhaleshwor Mahadev Temple and spend a relaxed evening at the hilltop resort, enjoying the cool air and the twinkling lights of the Kathmandu Valley far below.
