Day - 1
Tokyo Arrival: Neon Streets and Bay Views
We touch down at Narita International Airport and dive straight into the electric pulse of Tokyo. Our orientation begins at the world-famous Shibuya Crossing, witnessing the organized chaos of the pedestrian scramble. We explore the upscale avenues of Ginza, known for luxury boutiques and galleries, before a scenic drive past the futuristic entertainment hub of Odaiba in Tokyo Bay. We then check into the hotel to rest after the journey.
Day - 2
Tokyo Icons: Ancient Gates and Digital Art
We traverse Tokyo's timeline, starting at the ancient Asakusa Temple and its bustling Nakamise shopping street. We then ascend the Tokyo Skytree for panoramic views from the 350-meter observation deck. The experience shifts to the surreal at TeamLab Planets, an immersive museum where you wade through water and digital flowers. We conclude with free time to enjoy the world-class dining and entertainment of Ginza before dinner.
Day - 3
Hakone to Matsumoto: Volcanic Valleys
Leaving the capital, we journey to the volcanic landscapes of Hakone. We cruise the serene waters of Lake Ashi and soar over active sulfurous vents on the Hakone Ropeway for aerial views of Owakudani. Following this encounter with nature's power, we travel by road to the historic castle city of Matsumoto for our overnight stay.
Day - 4
The Alpine Route: Snow Walls and Dams
We embark on the spectacular Tateyama Kurobe Alpine Route, traversing the "Roof of Japan." Using a variety of transport—from trolley buses to cable cars—we cross the Northern Alps. Highlights include walking atop the massive Kurobe Dam and passing through the towering Snow Walls (seasonal snow corridors) near Tateyama. We descend to Toyama for the night.
Day - 5
Heritage Villages and Floral Lights
We step back in time at Shirakawa-go, a UNESCO village famous for its steep thatched-roof farmhouses designed to withstand heavy snow. Later, we travel to Nagoya to witness the dazzling illuminations and botanical displays at Nabana no Sato, one of Japan’s finest floral parks. We check into our Nagoya hotel after dinner.
Day - 6
Nagoya to Osaka: Maglev Speed and Street Food
We explore the future of travel at the SC Maglev and Railway Park in Nagoya, viewing 39 historic vehicles and superconducting magnetic train technology. After lunch, we travel to Osaka to dive into the culinary energy of Dotonbori. Here, we walk beneath giant neon signs and sample local street food before checking into our hotel in the Kansai region.
Day - 7
Hiroshima & Miyajima: Peace and Floating Gates
A high-speed Bullet Train takes us to Hiroshima for a poignant visit to the Peace Memorial Park and Atomic Bomb Dome. We then board a ferry to Miyajima Island to admire the Itsukushima Shrine, celebrated for its vermilion torii gate that appears to float on the sea at high tide. We return to our hotel in the evening.
Day - 8
Kyoto Classics: Bamboo, Gold, and Gates
We explore the cultural heart of Kyoto, starting with the shimmering Golden Pavilion, Kinkakuji. We stroll through the towering green stalks of the Arashiyama Bamboo Grove before heading to Fushimi Inari Taisha. Here, we hike through the iconic tunnel of thousands of vermilion torii gates winding up the sacred mountain.
Day - 9
Nara Culture: Great Buddha and Kimonos
We travel to Nara to visit Todaiji Temple, home to the world's largest bronze Buddha and the city's famous bowing deer. To deepen the cultural immersion, we participate in a traditional Kimono Wearing experience, dressing in authentic Japanese attire for memorable photos. We then transfer to the airport hotel area to prepare for departure.
Day - 10
Japan Departure: Journey Home
We enjoy a final breakfast and check out. A professional transfer takes you to the airport for your return flight, concluding your journey through Japan's Alps and cities.
