Day - 1
Muscat Arrival: Arabian Shores
Touch down at Muscat International Airport and meet your representative for a smooth transfer to your hotel. Settle into the Omani capital, famous for its dramatic mountain backdrop and dazzling white architecture. Relax after your flight, preparing to explore the Sultanate's rich maritime history and natural wonders over the coming week.
Day - 2
City Grandeur and Vibrant Souks
Your tour begins at the magnificent Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque, an architectural marvel. Drive past the Royal Opera House before delving into Omani heritage at the Bait Al Zubair Museum. Witness the historic Al Alam Palace flanked by the Jalali and Mirani forts (photo stop). Conclude with a stroll and bargaining session through the bustling Muttrah Souq for handicrafts and silver before returning to your hotel.
Day - 3
Nizwa: Forts and Painted Ceilings
Check out and drive to Nizwa, Oman’s ancient cultural capital. Explore the imposing circular Nizwa Fort and its traditional souq. Proceed to Jabrin Castle, famous for its 17th-century magnificence, intricate plasterwork, and beautifully painted wooden ceilings. Conclude with a photo stop at the monumental Bahla Fort, a UNESCO World Heritage site known for its historic pottery, before checking in for the night in Nizwa.
Day - 4
Sharqiya Sands: Desert Immersion
Check out and journey into the vast, undulating sea of red and white sand dunes that define Sharqiya Sands. Experience the exhilaration of a sand dune ride in a 4x4 vehicle, going deeper into this breathtaking landscape scattered with Bedouin life and roaming camels. Conclude the day with a spectacular sunset viewing before settling into your desert camp for dinner and overnight stay beneath the stars.
Day - 5
Wadis, Dhows, and Turtles
Drive through the Eastern Hajar Mountains to the scenic Wadi Bani Khalid. Hike past villages embedded in the mountains to reach the deep blue pools of the wadi for a refreshing swim. Continue to the coastal city of Sur, known historically for dhow building, where you visit the shipyard. After an early dinner, head to the Ras Al Jinz Turtle Sanctuary to witness the Green Turtles come ashore to lay their eggs at night.
Day - 6
Coastal Gems: Keyholes and Sinkholes
Drive back to Muscat along the scenic coastal route. The journey leads you to Wadi Shab, where you trek through lush scenery to reach a series of pools, culminating in a thrilling swim through a keyhole cave into a secluded world. Stop at the limestone Bimah Sinkhole (Hawaiyat Najm park) and the white sands of Fins Beach before arriving back in Muscat for your final night.
Day - 7
Muscat Departure: Homeward Bound
Enjoy a final Omani breakfast before checking out of your hotel. A professional driver picks you up for your transfer to Muscat International Airport, bringing your exploration of the Sultanate's unique deserts, mountains, and coastal havens to a memorable close.
