Day - 1
Kathmandu: Arrival in the Ancient Capital
Your journey into the Himalayas begins as we greet you at the airport and transfer you to your hotel. Kathmandu, the political and cultural heartbeat of Nepal, is a city where ancient tradition meets modern vibrancy. Upon arrival, take time to settle in and absorb the unique energy of this historic valley, preparing for the spiritual journey ahead.
Day - 2
Kathmandu: Temples, Stupas & The City of Arts
Today, explore the spiritual pillars of the valley. Visit the sacred Pashupatinath Temple, a UNESCO site on the banks of the Bagmati River, followed by the colossal stupa of Boudhanath, the heart of Tibetan Buddhism. Cross the river to Patan, the "City of Fine Arts," to admire its densely packed Durbar Square and exquisite metalwork. Conclude with a climb to Swayambhunath (Monkey Temple) for panoramic views of the city under the watchful eyes of the Buddha.
Day - 3
Pokhara: Journey to the Lake City
We leave the capital behind for a scenic drive west to Pokhara, the jewel of the Himalayas. En route, you have the option to add a thrill to your journey with white-water rafting on the Trishuli River or a cable car ride to the wish-fulfilling Manakamana Temple. As you approach Pokhara, the massive snow-capped peaks of the Annapurna range reflect in the calm waters of Phewa Lake, offering a spectacular welcome.
Day - 4
Pokhara: Sunrise & Subterranean Wonders
Rise before dawn for an excursion to Sarangkot, the ultimate viewpoint to witness the sunrise turning the Himalayas into gold. After breakfast, explore the city’s natural marvels: the thunderous Devi’s Fall, where the stream vanishes underground, and the limestone chambers of Gupteshwor Cave. Visit the historic Bindhyabasini Temple, dedicated to Goddess Durga, offering a peaceful retreat and clear mountain views.
Day - 5
Kathmandu: The Scenic Return
We retrace our path through the winding river valleys back to Kathmandu. Upon return, the rest of the day is yours to enjoy at leisure. You might choose to hunt for souvenirs in the bustling streets of Thamel, pick up a Tibetan carpet, or try your luck at one of the city's famous casinos. It is a perfect time to reflect on your journey before your departure.
Day - 6
Departure: Farewell to the Himalayas
After a relaxed morning, we ensure a timely transfer to the airport for your onward flight. You depart with a rich tapestry of memories, from the golden spires of Kathmandu to the serene lakes of Pokhara.
